Pump Tracks have started to emerge all over the UK in recent years. From city centres to rural parks, Pump Tracks take up a small amount of space and provide about as much fun as you can have on a bicycle. No matter what bike you have, or what your skill level is, a pump track is the place to have fun and learn new skills. These new pump tracks have produced a style of riding that combines the skills of all mountain bike disciplines – 4X, Downhill, Cross Country and Dirt Jumping.

Pump Track racing has really taken off Worldwide over the past few years and bike brand DMR were quick to acknowledge this last year by launching the ‘DMR Pump Track Challenge’ Series. This time the track will be different to the other pump tracks used so far in the series. New for The London Bike Show 2012, the riders will be racing head to head on two 200m long timber tracks over rollers and berms that will be designed and built by ShoreTrax. As riders conquer the track in less than 20 seconds, head to head racing will make for high-adrenaline, spectacular racing.

In 2011 there have been three events with three winners:
    Round 1 - Bernhard Kerr
    Round 2 - Scott Beaumont
    Round 3 - Ben Baker

All of these riders will be attending The London Bike Show to find out who will be the King of the London Pump Track. In addition to these guys, Tomas Slavik, Joost Wichman, Olly Wilkins, Sam Reynolds, Sam Pilgrim, Lewis Lacey, Scott Roberts and Duncan Ferris will headline the International and UK pro riders who will be invited to challenge for the win. Give them a run for their money by signing up to race against them at the show...
